Vaginal discharge: what may be normal and when to seek care
Vaginal discharge is normal. Its amount and consistency can change across the menstrual cycle. ACOG notes that normal discharge is generally clear or white and without a noticeable strong odor.
When to seek care
Seek assessment for persistent changes in color, odor, amount or consistency, especially with itching, burning, pain, bleeding, lesions or urinary symptoms.
